1. Who we are

PawnitoChess (pawnitochess.me) is a chess training website run by Mohammad Nour Sayour, based in Lebanon. You can reach us at support@pawnitochess.me. By using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Using PawnitoChess

You can use most of the site for free, with or without an account. Accounts are for people aged 13 or older. Keep your login details private; you are responsible for what happens in your account. One account per person.

3. Fair use

Please don't: use bots or scripts to access the site or download its content in bulk; try to break or get around its security, limits or paid features; copy, resell or republish the site's lessons, puzzles, code or design; or use the site to harass anyone, including through names shown on leaderboards. We may suspend accounts that do.

4. VIP subscription

VIP costs $5 per month (USD, plus any tax added at checkout) and renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your payment receipt or by emailing us; VIP stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If we ever change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal. What VIP includes is listed on our Pricing page, and we may add or improve features over time.

5. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

7. Your games and data

Games you import or analyze stay yours. We store what is needed to show you your reviews and progress, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete saved games, or your whole account, at any time.

8. Our content

The website, its code and design, Pawny the mascot, the lessons, explanations and game review system belong to PawnitoChess. You may use them for your own chess training. Some parts come from free sources under their own licences, such as the Stockfish chess engine (GNU GPL v3) and Lichess puzzle and opening data (CC0); these are listed on the Credits page of the site.

9. Other websites

PawnitoChess is independent and is not affiliated with Chess.com or Lichess. When you load games from them, your browser uses their public websites, under their own terms.

10. No guarantees

We work hard to keep the site running and the analysis accurate, but the site is provided as it is, without warranties. Chess engines and explanations can be wrong. We may change, pause or remove features.

11. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, PawnitoChess is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close a paid account without a good reason, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

13. Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. Important changes will be announced on the site.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
